How to exclude your own visits and IP address

Traffic you don’t want to count: your own visits, the office, bots or internal pages.

Documentation menu

Exclude your own visits

Exclusions: type, condition and value
  1. Settings → Exclusions.
  2. If your connection has a fixed IP: choose “IP” and click “Use this IP”.
  3. If your IP changes (most home connections): choose “Dynamic IP” and open the link it gives you from each connection you want to exclude. Open it again whenever your IP changes.

Tip: “New link” replaces the dynamic IP link; the old one stops working.

Other exclusions

  • Country: for example, if you only sell in Europe and get bot traffic from elsewhere.
  • Browser: for automated tools that identify themselves.
  • Path: internal pages such as /admin/ or /wp-login.php.
  • Referrer: spam websites that send fake visits.

Excluded traffic isn’t recorded from that moment on; the past data doesn’t change.
